MORNING PROGRAMME
Deluun Boldog The birthplace of Chinggis Khan. A commemorative stone inscribed in Mongolian script was erected here on 20 July 1990, dedicated to the 750th anniversary of the Secret History of the Mongols. The inscription records that Chinggis Khan was born here in 1162, the Year of the Water Horse.
Chinggis Khan Monument Erected on 31 May 1962 on the northern terrace of the Middle Lake of Gurvan Nuur, dedicated to the 800th anniversary of Chinggis Khan’s birth. Designed by sculptor L.Makhbal under the direction of S.Tomor-Ochir. The monument stands 11.7m tall with a 10m base, shaped like a flame, depicting Chinggis Khan in profile with the inscription: “Let my body tire, but let my enduring state never be dishonoured.”
Gurvan Nuur (Three Lakes) Three small lakes nestled close together in a flat clearing within a pine forest, celebrated as the “Gurvan Nuur Mineral Springs.” The lake waters and mud are used in the treatment of stomach, liver, bile and eczema conditions. The Middle Lake is known for leeches used to treat joint diseases. The East Lake water is consumed for intestinal ailments.
Temuujin Childhood Museum Established in 2006 to mark the 800th anniversary of the founding of the Mongolian state. The museum houses stone, bronze and iron artefacts from early peoples of the Onon-Balj basin, a life-size scene depicting Temujin’s childhood, a seated figure of Chinggis Khan, the Black Standard, and a wheeled palace tent.
Local Studies Museum Founded in 1959 as an initiative for young herders to share experiences. Expanded in 1971 and now holds 346 historical exhibits documenting the culture and heritage of Dadal soum.
Khajuu Bulag (Sacred Spring) Located to the northeast of Dadal soum, at the eastern foot of Khar Tug’s Ovoo hill. According to legend, this is the spring whose water was used to bathe the newborn Temujin, and where his mother Oulen boiled tea and drew water for daily use.

Bodanchir’s Grass Shelter As recorded in Chapter 24 of the Secret History of the Mongols, Bodanchir Munkhag of the Khiad Borjigin clan — earliest ancestor of the Chinggisid golden lineage — built a grass shelter and lived at this site on Balj Island.
